Faculty of Agriculture and Food Technology
The Faculty of Agriculture and Food Technology gives students the tools to manage and improve sustainable agriculture. Students are prepared to address food security challenges, manage agricultural resources and innovate in food processing and technology.
Courses in this faculty are:
1. Bachelor of Agriculture:
A Bachelor of Agriculture course covers crops production, soil analysis, financial aspects of agriculture and animal care.
2. Fisheries and Aquaculture:
Students in this course will focus on fish science, aquatic resource management and sustainable fisheries.
3. Food Science and Technology:
This course teaches food processing, safe preservation, quality control and food manufactured safety.
4. Agricultural Economics:
Learners are exposed to farming systems economics, market trends, policies and rural community growth.
Faculty of Computing and Information Technology
The Faculty of Computing and Information Technology at FUTIA offers students the most recent courses to help them succeed in today’s world, where everything is going digital. The course covers both residential houses and large-scale projects by helping students learn architecture principles.
2. Building Technology:

Admission Requirements
To be admitted into undergraduate studies at FUTIA, candidates must meet the general requirements.
1. A student must have five credits in core subjects, English Language and Mathematics from either WASSCE or NECO.
2. All applicants to FUTIA must score at least 160 in UTME.
3. All candidates who did well in UTME will be required to pass the university’s screening test, which could be an aptitude test or interview.
4. Direct Entry is available to those who have ND or HND. Their eligibility depends on the courses they have studied and qualifications.
